Thank you to our parent volunteers for helping us carve some "spook-tacular" pumpkins! The kids had such a blast! We'll be sending home the spare clothes you sent in this past September to get replaced with fall/winter clothing. Thanks for your cooperation.
Please continue practising doing up zippers, buttons and putting on other outdoor clothing with your children. Many of the kids are only needing minimal support getting dressed for recess - hooray! :) Our friends in grade 6 came to visit us on Friday. They asked us questions about things we like the best to help them get data for their graphing assignment. We loved talking with our big kid friends!
This afternoon we made goop (cornstarch, water, food colouring). For some extra spooky fun, we thought we should add toy eyeballs and call it soup! We participated in workshops organized by Scientists in the Schools today. We learned about the stars, mixing potions, sinking and floating, the weather, and fossils. A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers for making the day such a success! We love singing... we love playing instruments... We are amazing!!! We've been challenging the kids to find patterns all around them. We have been noticing patterns on animals, buildings, in nature... and even on us! We had a lot of fun conducting an experiment using water, vinegar, baking soda, food colouring and popcorn kernels. Check out our results in the videos below! What a day! We had a Halloween safety review with our School Resource Officer this morning. We learned a lot of great tips to keep us safe. We also had fun doing some "cosmic yoga" during our indoor recess before lunch (check out the pictures below!). Then, this afternoon we were very respectful during our Thanksgiving liturgy. We have so much to be thankful for!
